Around Fort Worden on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, rocky beaches and foggy forest trails had purple shore crabs, a red rock crab and Pacific banana slugs. Water droplets outlined a spider web between branches, and there were also a garden snail on coarse sand and a grasshopper on the rocks.
